Within Mason's university’s schools and colleges, the primary stakeholders who seek philanthropic funding from corporations and foundations include development officers, faculty, and administrators.

The CFR team is also a liaison between the George Mason University Foundation (GMUF) and the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP).
